Physical threats are one type of way that employees can be harassed at their workplace. Under physical threats, the employee is told that something bad will befall upon them because of something they are doing or just because of some misunderstanding. In the event that this happens, the employee can seek legal action against a person that has threatened them so that they are protected from future kind of physical threats.

Intimidation is another type of workplace harassment. This mostly occurs between staff that are senior and them that are of a lower position in the hierarchy of command. A senior employee may become jealous of junior staff and due to this they may seek on how to make their work hard in the organisation by intimidating them since they are of a higher power than them in the hierarchy of command. When an employee faces intimidation from someone within the organisation they can go forward and report the matter because intimidation is not accepted by law.

Physical assault is another type of workplace harassment that exists in the workplace. Another type of workplace harassment that exists is name-calling. This is where an individual is given a name that suggests something negative about their character or their physical well-being so that it makes them uncomfortable when they are called by that name. In the event that an individual is a subject to name-calling by his or her colleagues, he or she can seek legal action against these individuals so that they stop calling him or her by those names that he does not agree with.

One of the many workplace harassment actions that exist is mockery. This is where the efforts of an individual are being downplayed and trashed upon by other colleagues or even by the employer. Mockery is not accepted by law in the work environment and therefore if a person is a victim of such workplace harassment he or she can seek legal action against the perpetrators of the act.

Interference with performance at work is another type of workplace harassment that exists. Human beings are very unpredictable, no one always hopes for the best for their fellows and even in the workplace environment they are such kind of people that always want to put down the efforts of people that are working hard so that they do not succeed in their work. When an individual notices this type of acts that have been done against him or her she can seek legal action against the individual or individuals that have perpetrated the act.
